PD Dr. med. Dominik Pförringer studied medicine in Regensburg and received his doctorate in Munich, where he also began his surgical training. He is a specialist in orthopaedics and trauma surgery. In 2009 he completed the full-time MBA programme at INSEAD in Fontainebleau and Singapore, and in 2010 he joined Bain & Company's healthcare practice as a management consultant, advising hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, insurers and private equity teams.
He has been a trauma surgeon at the Munich University Clinic Rechts der Isar since 2013 and works intensively on optimising clinical processes for patients. He also advises in private equity and venture capital, accompanies startups in the medical field, and organises the annual Digital Health Summit.
