Prof. Dr. med. Ehsan Khaljani, MBA, FEBU, has been Professor at Medical School Berlin (MSB) since 2020, where he also serves on the Faculty Council of Health Sciences. Alongside his clinical work as a urologist, he advises digital health start-ups and is Managing Director of URO-Cert e.V.

He studied medicine in Hamburg and Madrid and earned his doctorate (magna cum laude) at the University of Hamburg. After his urology residency in Berlin, he became a Fellow of the European Board of Urology and completed an MBA in health and hospital management.

During his residency he co-founded AMBOSS, today the leading medical knowledge platform in Germany, and has since co-founded several digital health start-ups — from IoT solutions that prevent hospital infections to a digital therapeutic (DiGA) for men's health.

His research focuses on pattern-recognition algorithms in medicine, the automation of clinical communication, cloud-based data analytics, patient-reported outcome measures and digital health applications.
