Eva Sabajová (Slovakia)

Eva Sabajová is President and Co-founder of HL7 Slovakia and Digital Health Slovakia, and Community Engagement Manager at HL7 Europe. She has extensive experience in digital health, health data interoperability, and European health policy, with a particular focus on connecting policy, standards, and implementation.
From 2017 to 2024, she worked at Slovakia’s National Health Information Centre (NCZI), where she held roles in interoperability and strategic planning. From 2019 to 2024, she represented Slovakia in European cooperation on digital health, including the eHealth Network (eHN) and related expert groups, contributing to discussions and negotiations on the European Health Data Space (EHDS). Her work also included cross-border digital health initiatives such as MyHealth@EU and the EU Digital COVID Certificate.
She subsequently served as Strategy and Outreach Lead at IHE-Europe and has contributed to international collaboration through the SNOMED International Member Forum and WHO-FIC, including work related to ICD-11.
Through her current roles, Eva works to strengthen collaboration across the digital health community and advance the adoption of interoperability standards, helping translate European policy and international standards into practical solutions for more connected, patient-centred healthcare.
