Eva Sabajova (Slovakia)

Eva has dedicated nearly eight years to advancing digital health and interoperability. During her eight years at the Slovak National Health Information Centre (NCZI), she led international projects such as the National Contact Point for eHealth and represented Slovakia in key European and global digital health initiatives. In this role, she actively participated in the eHealth Network, SNOMED International Member Forum, and the WHO ICD-11 expert network, contributing to policy discussions, project proposals, and grant management. Her expertise also played an important role in Slovakia’s participation in the European Health Data Space (EHDS) negotiations (2022–2024).
In November 2024, Eva joined IHE-Europe, where she continues to contribute to EU and global interoperability activities and is actively involved in European projects focused on digital health integration and cross-border data exchange.
In 2023, she founded HL7 Slovakia and Digital Health Slovakia, two organizations dedicated to building a connected, standards-based digital health ecosystem and promoting the adoption of international best practices in the Slovak healthcare system.
Eva´s academic background is in Economics and Languages, with studies in Slovakia, Germany, and Italy. Before her work in digital health, she spent eight years managing a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) center at Siemens Slovakia, specializing in document processing and operational optimization.”
