Practical and Financial Support for the University

Deggendorf Friends and Associates Association

We, the Deggendorf Institute of Technology‘s Friend and Associates Association (Verein der Freunde und Förderer der Technischen Hochschule Deggendorf e. V.) are pleased to note that you are interested in our work. For the past 20 years, we have taken an active role to financially support DIT’s swift growth.

The DIT is increasingly becoming a focal point for education and technology in Lower Bavaria. Therefore, our association is faced with new challenges. Not all challenges are about financial support, we also act as intermediaries in establishing new contacts, bring in new ideas, support projects and introduce mentors. We are driven by values such as “pass on valuable experience from present knowledge” and “show responsibility” to start shaping a better tomorrow already today. Through your membership, the town of Deggendorf and the entire region will benefit, but there is more: you can lead the way for young people – as they are our future. As a group we can take on more responsibility!

We are looking forward to you!

Dipl.-Betriebswirt (FH) Johann Kraus
Head of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology’s Friend and Associates Association

The merits of promotion

The association’s goal is to promote the Deggendorf Institute of Technology, especially in regard to its continuing expansion, research and teachings. Furthermore, we are establishing and cultivating the contacts between the institute and the citizens of Deggendorf and the region. The association is strictly non-profit orientated.

Some of the association’s objectives are:

  • Financial support in acquiring materials for research
  • Organising scientific events
  • Supporting the students’ lives and activities

Through your membership, the city of Deggendorf and the entire region will benefit, but there is more: you can lead the way for young people – our future. As a group we can take on more responsibility.

The DIT’s Friends‘ Association is an indispensable partner of our university. Advertising, coordination and internal university support are the key words that describe the valid work of the association.

Our support is focused on

  • Equipment for the DIT, such as technical measuring equipment
  • Accreditation of new degree courses
  • The university choir
  • Academic field excursions
  • Various student projects
  • The financial support of actions that can not be covered by the Higher Education Act
