How to handle change: Coping strategies for life and business
Referentin: Maike Benner, Absolventin der THD / Master Strategisches und Internationales Management, Abschlussjahr 2012
A lot has changed for our race since our ancestors - the Homo sapiens - lived in caves. But if we think about it – over the past 300.000 years surprisingly little has changed in the life time of any one individual. That all changed only some hundred years ago when for example horses where replaced by cars and this has culminated in today’s world, where exchange rates and stock prices change every second. Thus we can testify: we are surrounded by constant change. Therefore, one of life’s greatest challenges is not only to survive the change but to cope with it or even thrive. Not only the external change gives challenges and opportunities but change can also be an internal attitude and an opportunity to grow and achieve extraordinary. So how to balance change, how do I change my views, my mindset, my behaviour or even my (outlook on) life? How to thrive with change while keeping my values? How to develop competencies for both internal and external change? Maike will use her presentation to shed some light and share her experience.

Predictive Automotive Safety
Referent: Ganzorig Davaasuren, Absolvent der THD / Master Elektro- und Informationstechnik, Abschlussjahr 2023
Predictive Automotive Safety is reshaping how the industry approaches risk, quality, and innovation. As vehicles become more complex and customer expectations evolve, the ability to anticipate safety issues before they occur has become a strategic necessity. This presentation explores how data-driven approaches—specifically leveraging warranty claims, accident reports, and internal quality metrics—can be used to detect early signs of product or system failures, enabling proactive interventions that enhance both vehicle safety and organizational agility. This session will offer practical insights into how predictive safety is more than a technical tool—it's a mindset shift that empowers teams to move from reactive problem-solving to strategic foresight. By aligning safety practices with data intelligence and operational change, the automotive industry can move closer to its goals of zero defects, zero accidents, and long-term sustainability.

A proposed approach to enhancing cybersecurity in healthcare through federated learning and blockchain integration for proactive threat detection and response
Referent: Jonathan Okereke, Absolvent der THD / Master Medicial Informatics, Abschlussjahr 2019
Digital transformation has revolutionized the healthcare industry. Patients expectations on technology are continuously evolving which has led to the proliferation of consumer apps (installed on mobile devices), wearables, Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), and other medical equipment which are integrated into the healthcare IT infrastructure through multiple access gateways. Despite the enormous benefits of these connected devices, they often lack the requisite built-in securityimplementations and standards and are therefore vulnerable to cyberattacks and risks. This could lead to patient data breaches, unauthorized access to sensitive data, manipulation of medical treatments; disruption of services; or even life-threatening events.
The research aims to critically examine the potentials of and to develop, a blockchain-enhanced federated learning framework specifically designed to improve the cybersecurity of healthcare systems by leveraging the strength of both technologies.

More humanity in Healthcare
Referentin: Michelle Warneke, Absolventin Thomas More University of Applied Sciences / Bachelor Pflege, Abschlussjahr 2019
Hello, my name is Michelle, an ambitious Nurse on a warm mission towards more humanity. As I believe our Healthcare, but also our society as a whole, is in need for more warmth & compassion. I will bring my authentic story as I started my journey as a nurse after being hospitalized as a patient myself. Thanks to many years of research I have become an expert in Patient Experience. Although a more humanizing care model is desired worldwide, it is often nowhere to be seen or found. Yet, from science we know that more humanity comes with many benefits. Not only for our patients, who will feel more empowered in their own health. But also for our healthcareworkers, who will experience more job satisfaction. The combination of being a patient, together with the experience as a nurse and the zest for research have proven to be a golden union. Although my talk originates from healthcare, I pursue to inspire a broader audience and to get people thinking. Thanks to my warm vision of the future.
